A Slice of Heaven - April 2007
Aries - the go-getters of the Zodiac
It must be a privilege to be born under the sign of the ram, the most head strong change agent on the block. Unencumbered by the restraints of convention, the Aries individual is a competitive mover, shaker and visionary. These people are inclined to boldly go where no-one went before. Couple that with a volatile temper, much need for independence and excitement. Because of this passionate drive some Aries may learn certain things the hard way. One Astrologer noted that Aries can be recognized by ‘visible scars.‘ There is a need to be physical and move around, no couch potatoes here. Many great athletes, adventurers and creative artists were born during this time.
Happy Birthday to the famous Topanga Aries Guys and Gals:
Delmar Lathers, Dina Fraboni, Lisa Cianci, Dianne Porchia, Ron Lebow, Francesco Lupica, Rick Ellis, Kate Campbell, Colleen Chung, Mark Nygaard, Marla Leigh, Tracy Griffith, Eddie Copans, Noa Glick, Richard Grossmann, Liam Gunst, Adam, Benjamin & Cameron Silbar, David Sonnenschein, Michael Ortiz Hill, Peter Zeiler and all others not mentioned here.
Not all days have exact aspects, the effects noted here more if your birthday falls on that day, either in Apr, Jul, Oct or Jan.
Mercury conjunct Uranus
Quirky unusual ideas and encounters, perfect for April Fools Day. In the Tarot Uranus shows up as the Fool, so, never mind any foolishness. Much creative mental energy may make for sleepless nights.
Full Moon 13* Libra,
This highlights relationship issues. Aries, which is all about me, versus Libra, which is all about us. This is going to bring up boundary issues, and the Venus square Saturn aspect will likely put a damper on too much excitement.
Mercury square Jupiter
Inclines to deep thinking, which is good for writing, but can create tension in negotiations and business matters. Also Venus square Neptune: deep feelings, unrealistic expectations and poor choices while shopping. Leave your credit cards at home.
Jupiter stations retrograde
When a planet stations it’s felt more strongly, here with a need for personal freedom. Good for looking at the big picture, optimism and expanded horizons. Because of the strong fire element right now, watch out for overly confident or reckless behavior.
Mars enters Pisces
The warrior god takes a five week dive into deep waters. This will make people less decisive and more emotional, less focused and more inclined to flip flop on issues.
Mercury sextile Venus
This is as far as these two can get away from each other. Good for a look at the big picture, also makes for a wide range of expressions and opportunities.
Sun trine Saturn
Here you can focus, work hard and get ahead in all areas of life. Tackle big projects, negotiate with people and go for the gold. Use this weekend for strategic thinking and to get lots of things done.
Sun trine Jupiter
The grand fire trine energy puts a positive spin on the beginning of the week, it makes this a day where everything is possible. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sag) may purchase their winning lottery tickets and demand, or expect getting a break in other areas.
Mercury square Pluto
Provides deep thoughts and insights, possibly uncomfortable revelations. Later that day Mercury enters Aries: impatience, drive, pushing for solutions, getting things to happen right here, right now.
Sun sextile Neptune
Good for romance, negotiations and visionary experiences. Also Venus enters Gemini: facilitates the literary arts, write, communicate, diversify.
No exact aspects until:
New Moon 27* Aries:
Powerful changes, easy expansion and much activity. Maybe you need to slow down and take a breather. The Fire signs will shine brightly this week, don‘t hold back now.
Sun trine Pluto
A great day for business meetings and power talks, Saturn stations direct and marks a turning point towards progress in all areas.
Sun enters Taurus
After all this fire energy a bit of grounding is in order. More about the earthy sign of the bull in the next issue of the ’Slice’.
Mercury trine Saturn, trine Jupiter
Now Mercury is the fiery catalyst. Too much fire already? Apply water: take a bath, swim, or indulge in self care: take refuge to the kitchen, the bed or the bathtub.
Mercury sextile Neptune
Great sparks of insight and creative ideas. Good for those that work with pictures and images, not great for rational types. Venus square Mars: relationship issues around boundaries, need for freedom vs. need of comfort and stability.
Mercury trine Pluto
Good for writers, you can look beyond the surface and into the dept of things, wise words come easy today. Venus square Uranus: restless, reckless, and independent.
Mercury enters Taurus
Thought processes slow down, more deliberation, less impulsiveness, Venus sextile Saturn is good for conversations about money or to negotiate business deals.
Venus opposes Jupiter
Variety meets the spice of life. Mars conjunct Uranus: inclines to risk taking and reckless adventures.
Mars square Jupiter
Goal oriented, pushing for quick fix solutions. Venus trine Neptune: good for a romantic get together with your sweetheart.
