Here’s an astrological forecast for the month of June. It’s the last part of spring, when the sun travels through the constellation of Gemini. This is a time when it’s easy to multi task, diversify, communicate or change your mind on things.
The Intellectuals of the Zodiac
This sign is ruled by the quirky mischief maker Mercury, which used to be known as the “Messenger of the Gods“. The planet Mercury is hot stuff, it’s closest to the Sun and known for it’s somewhat loopy orbit, which creates ‘retrograde’ periods about 3 times each year.
The people born during this time of the years have a reputation for Jack’s (and Jill’s) of all trades. Ambidextrous, witty, tactile, fun, curious, with short attention spans, and peerless ability to multi task, they are colorful, many-faceted personalities. They love to talk and debate things, often with exaggerated gestures. Physical activity helps to ground the mental energy. Any sports related activity is good, especially those that involve eye/hand coordination.
The sign of the twins has many facets and polarities. Some Gemini’s just naturally gravitate towards the Messenger part. My Gemini friend used to be a bike messenger and pizza deliverer. He has about five different jobs and projects going at all times, plays tennis like a champ and can talk your head off, easily.
Happy Birthday to the famous Topanga Gemini folks:
Randy Just, Claire Davis, Jean Francis, Mollie Hogan, Chryssa Lightheart, Adam Scott, Lisa Villasenor, Jane McAllister, Andrea Walker, Elaine Alghani and Dr. Stephen Thomas.
Mercury enters Cancer, Mars enters Leo
When a planet changes signs there is a brief period where it’s ‘on hold’. The old ways of thinking and being are done, and the new perspective has not evolved yet. Mars in Leo it’s extra yang and full of pride, and inborn authority. Watch out for ego conflicts, and ‘let’s get physical’ to blow of some steam when needed.
Venus squares Saturn
Negotiate carefully between business and pleasure, and straight talk between partners. Stern authority faces off with the individuals need for comfort and ease.
Sun squares Uranus
Anything is possible on this day. Lots of restless, nervous energy, think outside the box.
Venus opposes Jupiter
Good for deep exchanges between lovers, and a few lucky winners. It’s easy to overdo things today, watch out for big spenders and insatiable appetites.
Mercury trines Jupiter
Time to add rhyme to reason, settle family matters, or joint business / financial affairs.
Sun trines Neptune, Venus sextiles Uranus
Enjoy the dreamy, romantic side of the day. Good for meditation, yoga and psychic experiences.
Full Moon 21* Sagittarius,
High drama and lots of free flow emotions, potential for major breakthroughs and powerful, life changing realizations.
Mercury trines Uranus
A fine day to exercise your intuition, be creative, inventive, experimental. Try something new and different, whether it’s color, style or edible.
Venus squares Neptune
The fixed signs will feel unusually tender during this time. Expects shifts and changes in relationships, especially when fact and fiction collide.
Sun opposes Pluto
The next few days are extra tense, you’ll need your wits, focus and common sense. It’s easy to get polarized during this time, so try to keep your head level and cooperate from a place of strength.
Mars conjunct Saturn
When these two heavy weights get together you can expect some power struggles. Especially the fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sag) do well in ‘cooling’ their jets’ during this time. Watch out for righteousness, no need to add fuel to the fire.
Uranus SR, Mars squares Jupiter
This makes for impatience, and wanting to have things your way. Youthful exuberance may prevent you from seeing the big picture.
Sun enters Cancer 5:26 am, Summer Solstice
When the Sun shifts into a cardinal sign another cycles and season begins. You may feel introspective and centered around the home and family. The Sun is in a tight square aspect to the nodes of the Moon, which facilitate generational conflicts between looking out for #1, and looking out for everybody.
Jupiter squares Saturn
If there are any career or professional decisions to be made, make them now. Even if things are chugging along smoothly, make good use of these planetary prompting to plan and focus ahead.
Venus enters Gemini
No more planets in earth signs for a whole month, besides the occasional 2 day visit by the Moon. A similar condition happened last summer. Try to stay centered. The earth signs will be in demand to level things out for the more lofty individuals. Venus in Gemini likes variety. She is capricious, intellectual, and easily smitten by flattery.
New Moon 4* Cancer
A definite shift away from the mind and towards the heart. With a majority of planets in water and fire signs people are more impulsive, emotional and defensive. A perfect time to enjoy one, or all three of the Cancer domains: the kitchen, the bed and the bathtub. More on the most domestic of signs in the next issue.
Mercury enters Leo
Making it a stellium (three or more planets) in the sign. Mercury adds negotiation skills to the power brokering going on between Mars and Saturn. This supports a need to deeply examine your belief systems and values, and to speak up for them.
Sun trines Jupiter
Today you can smooth over the edges of recent events and take a look at the bright side. Good for bonding with your friends and lovers, or families and tribes.
Are you are at a turning point, where you could use a bit of psychic ‘check-up‘? Curious about your planetary transits? In need of some loving touch, emotional support or guidance? Always wanted to try some potion? I’d love to help you.
