Taurus – the lovers of the Zodiac
Welcome to the juicy part of spring, where nature is abundant and love is in the air, in abundance. Taurus is earthiest of earth signs. It is a fixed sign, meaning more focused and less adaptable than other signs.
Taurus people are attractive, creative and artistic, because the charming planet Venus rules the sign. They have a fairly thick skin, don‘t jump to conclusions and handle change in small increments. Many famous singers have Taurus prominently on their chart. In singing the voice becomes the instrument of the body, the very physical sign makes for much resonance. It is a fertile sign that often sports a green thumb and a knack for growing or building things.
Taurus people in general are warm, peace loving and sensual, with a marked desire for emotional and material stability. They prefer quality over quantity, are known for their expensive tastes and ability to create comfort in diverse circumstances. Collecting is a Taurus topic, along with engineering, building and a deep love of nature. It’s also a very emotional sign, as the Moon is exalted here. The two horns of the bull symbolize the waxing and waning cycles of the Moon.
Happy Birthday to the famous Topanga Taurus folks:

Mercury trines Pluto:
good for writing, studies and deep conversations. Venus enters Aries: For the next 3 weeks a bit of narcissism is in order. You may feel adventurous, inclined to take risks and initiatives. Take a go-for-it attitude in relationships.
Sun sextiles Uranus, opposes Jupiter, Jupiter trines Uranus:
All this gushy, creative, emotional energy makes it easy to get carried away, especially if you’re a Leo, Aquarius, Sag or Pisces. It’s okay to tackle big projects, overcome obstacles, be real creative and inventive here.
Mercury enters Taurus
A shift to calm things down, and take a realistic look at things. Good for number crunching. So, do take care of business and also take some time out, away from the desk. Hug a tree or a friend, nature is always there for you.
Grand water trine: Mars trines Jupiter, trines Uranus, Venus trines Saturn, Mercury squares Saturn:
Deep emotional shifts for everyone, specially the water signs: Pisces, Cancer & Scorpio. This creates opening for expansion and change. You can go with or against the flow, go over board with things, or get carried away. In general it’s better for dancing than talking.
Sun squares Neptune:
Inquiries into the nature of what’s real, and what is Memorex. There is tension, potential for disagreements and gridlock. In the end it’s all mind over matter: if you don’t mind, it don’t matter.
Mercury opposes Jupiter:
A good day for joint business ventures and for making plans, to cooperate varying viewpoints, to consolidate the smaller with the bigger picture.
Full Moon 22* Scorpio, conjunct Jupiter:
Here is a intense period with lots of passionate energy. An excellent weekend for parties or celebrations of any kind. You can also go way deep with each other in romantic relationships.
Mercury sextiles Mars:
Feeling a bit reckless, fuzzy? Too much on your mind? A fine day to take some time out, to smell the roses or poke around your yard.
Sun conjuncts Mercury:
In the last part of Taurus it’s good to complete or finish things off, to get them off your chest or over with. Not great for negotiations or making decisions.
Mercury enters Gemini:
Lighten up now, since Mercury in it’s home turf brings out the trickster in everyone. There is this, that, and then there’s a totally different way.
Sun enters Gemini:
Now there is movement and change, it’s possible to diversify, bring in variety or have more fun in life. More On Gemini in the next issue of the ‘Slice of Heaven’
The big diffuser is shifting forward here. Time to get off the couch and into the traffic flow.
Venus square Mars:
If there are any grievances between him and her, they will likely appear at this time, especially if the parties involved are cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra & Capricorn. Venus in Aries is in it’s detriment, that is more pushy and less comfy position, whilst Mars is in Cancer feels defensive and intruded upon.
Venus trines Pluto:
Here’s fiery aspect that can spice up your love life big time. So, if you have a sweetheart, enjoy! Also a great day for enjoying nature outdoors, to do sports and related activities.
New Moon 6* Gemini, Mercury squares Uranus:
Traditionally the turning point, as in low energy part of the month, here complicated by stress between Mercury and Uranus. Communication suffers, there’s a short attention span, so watch out in traffic. Best results for creative thinking and inventiveness.
Mercury trines Neptune:
Enjoy your dreamtime this weekend, as the unconscious mind is busily talking to you. For TopangaDays this means party galore, synchronicities, chatting it up with old friends - but then, we already knew about that…
Venus enters Taurus:
When Venus come back to her home turf there is a remarkable shift towards smoothing over the edges, going for comfort and what feels good. Everybody will feel more calm and centered, less driven.
Mercury opposes Pluto:
Watch out for foot-in-mouth disease or letting your words get carried away. Not great for negotiations either. Avoid arguments or multi-tasking more than two variables today.
That’s it for this month, to be continued -
much love to all and sweet blessings
