A Slice of Heaven

TopangaPsychic
A Slice of Heaven, Jan 1 - 31, 2006
By Lola B.
The new year always brings a nice incentive for change, as it constitutes a turning point, a new beginning. We stop for a moment to reflect on the cycle past, and focus on the one ahead. Different cultures use different calendars, yet each new year and cycle provides another opportunity to start over, to try again, take it from here. Everything changes all the time. Kids and plants grow like weeds, people grow older, bolder, and as the case may be, wiser too.
CAPRICORN - THE PRACTICAL SELF
Capricorns symbol is the mountain goat, and those born under the sign are known to climb great heights, be it socially, literally, or financially. Capricorn's lean towards the ambitious, practical, and conservative nature. The sign of cardinal earth they need to be active in earthly, i.e. practical and professional matters. Capricorn’s believe in law and order, or that there must be a system somewhere, in the midst of chaos. They are down to earth, with a no-nonsense, resilient and realistic attitude. Some learn a variety of different skills over the course of their lives. Capricorn kids are often mature and serious, ahead of their age. The sign has a reputation for longevity, largely because of their conservative lifestyles. It is said that: “they are born old and grow younger over time." Cap’s need a certain material and financial security, and often have a strong inner drive to succeed. There is a matter-of-fact attitude, that’s resourceful and down to earth. Capricorns frequently prove themselves as counselors during times of crisis or in emergencies. They’re apt at maintaining a clear mind, and make good use of their organizational skills.
